CoMotion is a student-led motion graphics conference at Savannah College of Art and Design. Conductor is about the process from death to rebirth. Even if the pandemic affects our lives, it will not affect our enthusiasm. The story begins with many dead musical instruments. The conductor directs them to play a grand symphony in the SCAD museum.

I was one of the animators on the branding team and participated in 4 shots. Animating and producing assets from the amazing style frames created by all the talented CoMotion designers was so exciting for me. Big thanks to Pranay for helping me to experiment the animation of fragmented hands with deformers and fields in Cinema 4D. And I really appreciated to having Yuying and Desmond as director and leader on the animation team to make this collaboration super fun and smooth.
Process
The lower left shot was my initial render test and the lower right one is the final result composited by Desmond. In this shot, I was responsible for modeling, hands rigging, lighting, texturing and 3D animation.
The lowest left shot was my initial render test and the lowest right one is the final result composited and color-corrected by Yuying. In this shot, I was responsible for modeling, hands rigging, lighting, texturing and 3D animation.
In this shot, I was responsible for texturing and lighting in Cinema 4D as well as the color correction in After Effects. The model was made and animated by Kagan and Pranay. The final result was composited by Leah.
In this shot, I was responsible for lighting and texturing after Pranay created the model. The left shot was my initial render test and the right one is the final result composited and color-corrected by Yuying with the animation by Pranay.
